Qualitative Research Methods Assignment - Essay ExampleMeanwhile, Cox (2003) discovered that intrapersonal, intragroup, and intergroup conflict have negative impacts on move around satisfaction and team effectiveness. On the other hand, Gilson, et al. (2005) found out that standardization is capable of influencing the relationship between creativity and team effectiveness. Research Question and place setting Cognizant of the differences in perceptions of team effectiveness, this soft study will attempt to address the inquiry question Do the perceptions of team effectiveness of selected members of virtual teams in INT Corporation EMEA closely approximate the theoretical comp onents of team effectiveness? A qualitative research is deemed most appropriate for this study because the study intends to explore lieu and behaviours by obtaining in-depth opinions from the respondents of the study (Dawson, 2004). Needless to say, therefore, that the setting will be INT Corporation EMEA. Sam pling and Data Gathering Since interviews will take much longer than a questionnaire check up on, a qualitative research can not accommodate as many respondents as a survey. Sample size was determined using randomize parameters (1) margin of error of 7% (2) confidence level of 90% (3) company population of 60,000 and (4) response distribution of 10%. The minimum required sample size is 50. However, selection of respondents will not anymore be randomised, but through purposive sampling. Dane (2011) sees purposive sampling as the selection of sampling elements grounded on characteristics of pastime for the study, which in this case is, membership in a virtual team. Purposive sampling does not involve probability sampling, but combining sampling procedures in this regard are allowed and practiced according to Teddlie and Tashakkori (2009). Data for the study will be collected using one of the most common methods of qualitative research a semi-structured interview using an intervi ew guide as the main instrument of the study. A semi-structured interview may be described as one which consists of predetermined questions related to the domains of interest, administered to a representative sample of respondents to confirm study domains and identify factors, variables or attributes of variables for analysis or use in a survey (Schensul, et al., 1999, p. 149). The study can benefit from semi-structured interviews since this data gathering procedure harmonises the flexibility of unstructured or open-ended interviews and the directionality of the survey questionnaire, capable of generating focused qualitative data. The best thing about a semi-structured interview is that the questions are formulated before the actual interview, but the answers are open-ended and may be grow based on the discretion of the interviewer. The main limitation of interview as a data-gathering technique is the time required to conduct the interview. This is usually offset by using a smaller number of respondents. Hence, in-depth information can be gathered from the respondents or interviewees. In this study, perceptions of team effectiveness will be reason into five areas, namely atmosphere, relationships, communication, direction and objectives. Five main questions corresponding to the five categories named will be included in the interview guide. These questions are 1. How will you describe the

A comprehensive definition of LDAP is defined as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, a protocol which helps find people, computers and other resources on a network. Designed to work with existing address-book standards and improve compatibility between widely differing systems, the ldap standard was adopted by the ietf in 1997 and now forms the basis of many white-page directories on the web. It has similarly been incorporated directly into some software programs and operating systems, making it possible to find email addresses without visiting a directory site (Ldap. 2003). LDAP was established after X.500 protocol, which was also a directory service standard protocol. ... History - Waiting for Macedonia Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

History - Waiting for Macedonia - Essay ExampleMacedonian men and women dont necessarily feel a kinship tie to their land, foreign Bosnians. Changes experienced by the young female engineers in Skopje include the fact that they feel more liberated to do as they please, and less inhibited. Young young socialist women in Macedonia ar classified on the upper level of the social strata in comparison to Albanian women of the village, who are sometimes pillaged by war, adversity, and infirmity. Unlike women in the European Union, those from Macedonia and Albania are generally regarded as lower-class but that might be because the countries that they are from in Southeastern Europe are less highly-regarded due to their lower socioeconomic status. Another personal identity that is represent in the book is religion. Religion is more relegated to a status that is detached from the state in Macedonia, and people learn to get along with each other even though they are from different religio us backgrounds. Religion, in the movie, is portrayed as a necessary part of life. In Bosnia, everyone is split up into factions. It might have had a lot to do with the fact that in the betimes 90s everyone in the vicinity had to at least hear about, if not deal with, the Bosnian War. The Bosnian War divided people into three distinct groups the Bosnian Islamics the Orthodox Christian Serbians (also known as Serbs) and the Catholic Croatians (also known as Croats). The Croatians were pitted against the Bosnians by the Serbs. But basically, the Serbians were persecuting the Bosnians based on the fact that they were Muslims. President bar Clinton finally decided to intervene in the Bosnian conflict in order to prevent an even larger genocide from taking place. To be Muslim in Bosnia meant to be the oppressed. To be a Croatian Catholic meant to be caught in the middle between a centuries-old fight between the Orthodox Christian Serbs and the Bosnian Muslims. National Identities Both the book and the film analyze different elements of national identity as well. Classifications of national identity in Yugoslavia during the existence of the orbit were never completely solidified because everyone came from different ethnic backgrounds. This only made allegiance to a nationality more difficult to believe in. The uncertainties of life after Yugoslavia, however, were someway easier to deal with than the fact that much national pride was never lost on many Yugoslavians who were able to assimilate by ethnic groups. Religion back tooth sometimes pose as nationality in the sense that, if someone is a Muslim, they might automatically assume that they are Bosnian. Thus, in a sense, in that region of the world ones religious identity gets fused with a nationality even though that may not reflect the reality of an individual. In a similar manner to put it in another way many people also assume that someone whose religion is Judaism is necessarily an Israeli, but thats not absolutely true. Nor is it true that someone who is an Israeli is necessarily Jewish actually, it is the converse. Nothing can be assumed or presumed. While someone may be ethnically Jewish, they may not be a Jewish national (from Israel), and nothing guarantees that someones religion is Judaism unless proven otherwise. Therefore, nationality, ethnicity, race, and religion, for some Jewish people, are all one and the same. But certain people do differentiate between

Why might the cost of capital fall if financial markets are no longer Essay

Why might the damage of big(p) fall if financial foodstuffs are no longer section What evidence is there of this effect - Essay ExampleLast two decades witnessed greater segmentation of financial markets. The major causes of increased financial market segmentation can be attributed to economic and regulatory barriers that raise difficulties in full market integration. In the opinion of Buch (179), although direct regulatory restrictions such as with child(p) controls to financial market integration have been eradicated, some complex forms of indirect regulatory controls are still in force. When the financial markets are largely concentrated, it get out certainly increase the approachs associated with international financial transactions. This paper will discuss why the address of majuscule falls if financial markets are no longer segmented. Factors affecting damage of capital From a companys point of view, the return on investment which is required to satisfy the investors amours is called cost of capital. Cost of capital consists of several factors such as equity capital, debt holders, and hybrid securities (Cost of capital). In order to understand the fluctuations in cost of capital associated with financial market segmentation, it is necessary to evaluate the factors affecting cost of capital. There are controllable and uncontrollable factors that affect cost of capital. A. Controllable factors As the term indicates, the company has a control all over these factors and it is grouped into three such as capital structure indemnity, dividend policy, and investment policy. 1. Capital structure policy As discussed above, equity capital is a component of cost of capital. When more equity is issued, normally, cost of equity increases and thereby cost of capital. A similar process repeats when more debt is issued. 2. Dividend policy The dividend policy affects the cost of capital and it can be controlled by adjusting firms payout ratio. Since the firm has control over its payout ratio, MCC schedules breakpoint can also be effectively changed (CFA level 1- Factors affecting the cost of capital). 3. Investment policy When a company formulates investment decisions, it deals with some degree of risk and it causes to change the structure of cost of debt and cost of equity. Consequently, it produces a proportional change in cost of capital also. B. Uncontrollable factors It also affects the cost of capital and the company has no control over these factors. It mainly includes level of interest rates and tax rates. In the view of Kapil (280), economic and market conditions also contribute to the change in cost of capital and these elements also fall under the head uncontrollable factors. 1. Level of interest rates The level of interest rates will affect the cost of debt and, potentiality, the cost of equity (CFA level 1..). For instance, level of interest rates has a direct impact on cost of debt by which an increase in interest rates ca uses a proportional increase in cost of debt and which in turn increases cost of capital. 2. Tax rates Cost of debt after taxation is understandably affected by changing tax rates. When tax rates increase, it is obvious that cost of debt would decrease further causing a decline in cost of capital. Lack of financial market segmentation and cost of capital fall When national financial markets are largely segmented, it becomes small and inactive. According to Errunza and Miller, as a result of this increased capital market segmentation, most of the domestic investors holding large number of local shares were included in these concentrated segments. The authors argue that this piazza led to the rise in cost of capital. According to this argument, cost of capital falls if financial markets are no longer segmented. In the opinion of Buchanan (as cited in The trade news), if the capital market traders have good knowledge

Engine organisation for the Airbus A3200 - Assignment ExampleThe FADEC controls the fuel injection and timing hence, optimize engine power. This adds the considerable amount of wiring to the arranging due to the needed separate power supply for backup from the alternator. The extra weight of parts of FADEC system has to be checked and recalculated for adjustment. FADEC has cockpit controls and other extra switches added to this system to control the fuel pump. These systems are protected by the FADEC power supply (Gunston, 1990)). The ECU has a 3D memory map, which controls fuel injection under varied great deal for instance, air pressure density and the air temperature, with respect to throttle settings and the RPM. The Electronic chasteness Unit can sense barometric pressure and respond by injecting fuel. The spark plug ignition timing is controlled depending on load for each throttle settings. The ignition timing variations yields faster engine starting and smoother operations with the variable loads. The FADEC engine does not need chocking during starting since the ECU controls fuel for every cylinder and assists in retarding the ignition. FADEC system does not use the carburettor and the ignition and does not also depend on aircraft electrical system (Guttman, 2009). On the other hand, in the hydromechanical control system, the driver is in control of the aircraft power plant development an internal combustion engine. The sensors and control are the alternator and the battery masters. The battery master activates the battery contractor that connects the battery to the electrical bus aircraft. Alternator master applies power to the battleground circuit of the alternator to activate the circuit. The two switches provide power to the aircraft systems. The throttle sets up the required power level and controls the massive air-f suffering rate in the carburetted engines that are delivered to the cylinder. install control adjust the speed unit, which the n adjusts the propeller pitch and controls the load required by the engine in maintaining the RPM. The mixture control will in turn set the needed fuel to add to the airflow intake. At high altitudes, the oxygen levels reduce and, therefore, volume of the fuel must readjust to the required air-fuel mixture. The ignition switch opens the Plead circuit by activating the magnetos. The magnetron maintains the process of sending the output voltage to spark plugs and connects the engine through the gearing. sweat in the crankshaft causes the magnetrons to generate voltage for sparking (Hispano-Suiza, 2001). TASK 1 FADEC SYSTEM OF THE V2500-A5 ON THE AIRBUS A320 SYSTEM LAYEROUT DIAGRAM FIG1 The AIRBUS A320 FADEC system layout for the V2500 engine The FADEC system for V2500 is designed with EEC, the HMU and the sensors as the components that defecate the core of the engine system. The other component that is assigned to systems is the ignition system (Ian, 1990). Forces necessary for move ment of startar vanes are brought about by the use of air pressure. Control valves from the hydraulic part is arranged centrally in HMU or decentralized around the actuators with FMU fixed in fuel distribution system. The alternator that is located at the accouterment gear box is the main power supply. The aircraft electrical system provides alternative power supply and is used in case of FADEC alternator fails. The FADEC system requires relatively low power since this power is only used for EEC operation, the servo valves and also the sensors. All the components controlled by FADEC systems

How is Seeing Enders Game a Political Action Essay

How is Seeing Enders Game a Political Action - Essay ExampleFrom a consumer perspective, the selection of a company preference is also influenced by the ideologies supported by the company. From a semipolitical perspective, if a CEO of a company cites his support for a political party, they risk being ignored by consumers with alternative opinions. For this reason, it is an accurate assumption that the ideologies of a person associated with a project will directly affect the trade perception of the entire company. The same situation is experienced on the perception of Enders game.Orson Scott Card has poor political ideologies. He is described as racist, discriminatory and careless in making politically related comments. On more than one occasion, Orson has tell extreme homophobic comments. At one instance, he state that gay people are a result of the genetic problem (Rugnetta, How is Seeing Enders Game a Political Action?). In addition, he said that gay people should be prosecute d for their actions. Most recently, he pointed out that Obama regime is similar to that of a dictator, and the government has put in place measure to repose evidence that depicts the existence of global warming ((Rugnetta, How is Seeing Enders Game a Political Action?). These comments are viewed as political and social inappropriate in a social democracy and human rights are important factors. Indirectly, a person with a preference to watch the movie may be in support of the ideologies of its creator. In an argument by Rugnetta buying a movie ticket to the film indirectly depicts that a person supports the ideologies of Orson. The film further develops the arrogance that the support of the film is associated with the support of the ad hominem opinion by Orson (Rugnetta, How is Seeing Enders Game a Political Action?). From the developed argument, it is an obvious assertion that the personal ideas of Orson do not support human rights and democracy.

She states that they were never the same men and hated the Moslem women (Skjelsbaek, 2006). Danira asked them to kill her as she did non want to go back to her family after going through the ordeal (Skjelsbaek, 2006).The Military personnel who raped her and many others with her, were not held accountable for the war crimes and did not undergo any punishment whatsoever. A historic twenty-seven people perished in this accident. Since then, several early(a) upsets, mostly connected to the military aircrafts have occurred. This triggered the world community to rethink and evaluate their respiratory tract safety rules and regulations. This is a cause for alarm on the basic areas pretermit within aircrafts. Therefore, the aircrafts that land and take off frequently have a higher probability of being involved in accidents as compared to those that have few stopovers. Based on these statistics, it will be important to choose the aircrafts that operate on nonstop flights. The laws and regulations across the land are always keen on aircrafts whose seats exceed thirty. Smaller aircrafts do not have regulations as stringent as their larger counterparts do. This makes the larger aircrafts safer to use for travel. In as lots as the enforcers and implementers of policy decisions are the aircraft staff, it is equally important for passengers to take care of their own safety. Passengers should neglect a definite airline that is notorious for safety neglects, fiscal constraints and persistent complains from customers. Additionally, passengers must be keen on instructions and take stringent precautionary measures to help avert emergencies. Regional perspective The issue of airline safety must be addresses by people who use airlines and state governments. The US is a victim of airline terrorism and must practice extreme point vigilance on all the passengers including those who appear innocent. It is necessary to vet before boarding airplanes. Amidst this confusion, the rescue team could not fix the electrical wires to prevent short-circuiting the fuel tanks and minimize sparks. This incident brought to the fore, not alto gether the preparedness of security and rescue team but also the actual material to be used while making some parts of the plane. Consequently, rules were do that established provisions for the installation of nitrogen generating equipment to safeguard the protection of the fuel tank (Been-Yosef 182). The Service Encounter Diaries Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 4750 words

The Service Encounter Diaries - Essay ExampleThis struck me as very poor customer service for a ambitious customer.7 The store and the quality of customer service could have been improved in two ways. The first would be for the employees to offer their direct assistance irrespective of the task they might have been on. The second would be for the employee to apologize that he/she can non help and offer to find someone else.3 While in cablegram, I noniced that of the three employees at the front desk waiting on customers, only 2 of them were working. The other was quite obviously logged into her work station but she was not taking customers. Although the other employees that were serving customers were polite and somewhat cheerful, the dour expression on the face of the non-working employee made one suspect that she was either just use time or taking a break in an inappropriate area.4 My reaction was rather unsurprising. I left the post office with the acknowledgment that the mai n reason people have a bad expectation of service does not have to do with the fact that there are not cheerful and hard working people there, but the fact that one or two lazy, inefficient, or angry employees spoils the entire experience.7 The front line manager should ensure that those individuals who are tasked with greeting or interacting with customers must maintain a very high level of professionalism and a good work ethic. If they cannot undertake these then they should be placed in another area, reassigned or terminated.3 Upon approaching the desk and explaining the situation, the customer service representative looked frustrated and told me that they do not trade any billing issues at their office and only can accept payments or set up new plans.7 The individuals at the store could take in by offering the customer alternatives since they do not handle billing issues simply excusing themselves

Italian Unification between 1815-1848 Essay Example for Free

Italian Unification between 1815-1848 EssayTo what extent is it true to say that thither was absolutely no proceeding or prospect of Italian Unification between 1815-1848?Between the years 1818 and 1848 thither were m both revolutions in Italy starting in the year 1821. The narration above states absolutely no movement or prospect, therefore I strongly dis look into with this due to the fact that there moldiness consecrate been nearly movement to achieve what Italy were finally able to. The following essay will give different points on the narration. In my opinion, I do not agree with the statement, one main reason creation there were plenteous people in Italy that wanted it to be unified and that fought for what they believed in. For example the secret societies. During the times Italy was under the ruling of Metternich, many secret societies were formed, with passwords, mutual protection and sometimes even semi-religious rituals. The Carbonari, the most well known soci ety and so consequently the most important. in that location were approximately 60,000 members involved, and it was particularly active in South Italy, especially in Naples. There aims were relatively mild, in Piedmont and Naples for example they hoped to establish a constitutional monarchy. It is already possible to see that there was some movement in Italy from secret societies that were hoping for Italian Unification.Another reason I disagree with the statement is due to Italy existence under the ruling of Metternich. Although it was difficult living under the Austrians, and they were clearly putting an obstacle in the way of conglutination, I believe that it was actually a whopping contribution to the happening of unification. For example, due to Metternich trying to belittle the rural by separating it into small constituencies, it made the Italian public want to fight back, and therefore as a consequence start revolutions. Three major revolutions occurred in Italy in the y ears, 1820-21, 1831-32, 1848-49. I believe this proves that things were being done to help unification rather than there being absolutely no movement.Additionally there is Giuseppe Mazzini, who is said to be a key figure in the history of Italian Unification. Mazzini was natural in 1805, he had one overriding aim being the brotherhood of people. He believed in the equality of human beings and of races. In 1831, Mazzini founded Young Italy, this being Italys first real political party. Mazzini described the party as, a brotherhood of Italians who believe in a law offreemen and equals. Those in the party had to depone to commit themselves to make Italy one free, independent, republican nation.Mazzinis ideas were incredibly radical for that period of time, for example, his ideal was that the people should rise up agains their oppressors, there should be unification from below. Eventually there was unification however it came more from above. Yet Mazzini proves once again that there w as movement and prospect towards Italian unification, Young Italy being other example. Although Mazzini may not have been successful at that precise moment, we can now see that unification was actually reached.Linking to my previous point, it has been proven that Mazzini was not all famous for his radical beliefs but also for converting people to the cause. This point firstly proves that some movement was being made in the form of attracting people to the take exception that was Italian unification, but furthermore, proves further movement in the fact that there must have been an incredible number of supporters that were in favour of unification, and therefore plans must have been made to try and succeed. Finally, by seeing that Italian Unification was attained eventually, we can ultimately say that there must have been enough movement and enough prospect for the aim to be successful. For these reasons, i disagree with the statement To what extent is it true to say that there was absolutely no movement or prospect of Italian Unification between 1815-1848?On the other hand, there are many events from this period of time that may agree with the statement previously specified. For example, after the French revolution, Metternich reinstated the previous monarchs of each constituency. Most of the monarchs were reactionary and therefore there was a large obstacle blocking the path to unification. creation such a large predicament, one can assume that there was absolutely no movement. In addition, the lack of progress that went into uniting the country by dint of language may have been seen as lacking and therefore lead ones opinions to believe once again no progress was being made.Furthermore, even with the unnumbered revolutions that were attempted not one succeeded permanently. So, although this particular example goes against there being absolutely no movement, due to the fact there was clearly movement in the form of revolutions, it does agree however with t here being no prospect of unification, seeing as every individual revolution from each specific country failed inevitably. This was in consequence of the Austrians suppressing the revolutions and then re inviting the previous leaders to come and transform the constituence to the way it had previously been.Following this, it is now possible to appreciate the dissolution between the North and South of Italy. The Northern half containing the wealthier half of the population, whilst the Southern half being populated with the poorer families. Due to this large partition, it is hard to see any prospect in Italian Unification and therefore one can easily agree with the statement above. In relation to the previous point is the air division of the Apennine Mountains. In those times, the Apennine Mountains were practically the back bone of Italy, until it was partitioned into North-East and South-West by Metternich. It is understood that without a back bone, a body would be unable to stand, therefrom the fact that without the Apennine Mountains it would be incredibly challenging for the population of Italy to achieve the prospect of unification.Overall, one can see that there are many justifications for both sides of this argument. Although from this essay it seems the statement is in fact true, I strongly disagree. Understanding that there may be proof to support the statement, at the end of the day Italian Unification was achieved, and therefore it is impossible to say that there was absolutely no movement because the aim was fulfilled and therefore some movement must have taken place. In conclusion, I disagree with the statement to what extent is it true to say that there was absolutely no movement or prospect of Italian Unification between 1815-1848 because this declaration clearly states that there was absolutely no movement towards Italian Unification between those years, yet unification was completed, thus whether there was a lot of movement, or in some case a l ittle, there was undoubtedly more than none, and for this reason I forcefully disagree with the statement.
